Meet Gwen

Gwendolyn Narkinsky, soon-to-be a Studio Arts graduate from the University of Mary Washington, specializes in oil painting with a focus on the intricate relationship between humanity and nature.

Primarily a portrait artist, Gwen prefers to go BIG. With her canvases averaging around 2ft x 3ft, her stunningly beautiful work captures a room.

Gwen’s approach to her work differs from trying to influence how viewers perceive or feel about her art. Instead, she prioritizes her own enjoyment by asking, “What do I want to see on the canvas?” Her creations are a reflection of her personal joy and experiences, shared with others who may also find pleasure in them.

In addition to her proficiency in oil painting, Gwen is skilled in digital art, marker work, sculpture, and various other traditional mediums.

Meet Savannah

Savannah Houghtaling is a Virginia-local artist specializing in character illustration and hand-drawn animation. A cartoon lover all her life, she is fascinated with breathing life into characters and their worlds, finding joy in crafting believable and relatable animated stories.

Proficient in both traditional and digital mediums, Savannah specializes in digital character illustration and both digital and traditional hand-drawn animation. She has honed her skills at Massanutten Technical Center, graduating from the animation course there in June 2018. Furthermore, she has had the privilege of studying traditional hand-drawn animation under legendary animator Don Bluth, completing his course in January 2024. Additionally, for over four years, Savannah has served as the lead artist for a local paint and sip, enriching her community with engaging and memorable art experiences.
